INSTALLATION
Unpack the Spore archive to a folder on your hard drive.

PLAYING THE GAME
Opening the program will take you to the title screen. Use UP and DOWN to navigate between menu items. To start or exit the game you press FIRE. You can change the following options by using LEFT and RIGHT:

graphics set set your favorite graphics
sound turn sound and/or music on/off
speed if Spore is running too slow on your system at the default speed ("normal"), set this to "slow"

The goal of Spore is to collect all the contaminated barrels in a sector so you can move on to the next one, where the same job awaits you. But be careful - the barrels are guarded by spores! Due to the contamination, the spores are dangerous and will rapidly sap your energy if you allow them to keep touching you. That is why your ship is equipped with a gun - so you can shoot the spore and the spore generators. You can also turn off laser shields with it, or reroute a laser.

While playing the game, press [esc] to return to the title screen.

CONTROLS
Use the directional keys (UP, RIGHT, DOWN, LEFT) to control your ship. To shoot, use directional keys and press FIRE. To repel the spores, press [space] (only works if you have repellants available).
