This software "Naval South Pacific War" is a real
time strategy game of the naval battles
between U.S.navy and Japan navy on the pacific theatre in WW2.
You will command Battle-Ships
Cruisers Carriers and Airplanes to steer your side to victory.
Roar of Gun fire from Battle-Ship,
Destroyer which is advancing in fury, and dog-fight will be
developed in sky. Fierce combat zone
will tuck you into there. but you should be cool usually, because
vast lives and honors that officers
and soldiers have, those all depend on you on this sea, so South
Pacific here is.
Minimum specs your PC need to play "NSPW" is below.
The processor has to be a Pentium or another better. Processor
speed should be at least 133MHz.
Over 200MHz is optimum.
Your video system has to have 256-color, 1024*768mode.
You need DirectX 7.0 or higher.
Operating System should be Windows 95 or Windows 98.
INSTALLING AND BOOTING UP
Installing is easy, just unzipping on to HD area you chose,
and Double-Click the "NSPW.exe" only, the it will boot
up.
UNINSTALLING
Just delete all of files you unziped. this softwar never write
anything in register.

TITLE SCENE
It will be title scene before you just booted it up.
You can proceed it to mission menu mode in Right-Click.
Or, when you pushed F4 key, this software will bring you to on
title mode immediately.
MISSION MENU
Here, you can choose mission you want to play in using mouse and
its button.
You make mouse cursor settle on mission tittle, and Left-Click
there then the mission will begin.
Or, you can know Player side, Conspectus and Requirement of
victory when youre mouse cursor is on
mission tittle.
BASIC COMMAND
All of commanding order is only mouse operation.
F4 key, will bring you to on tittle scene compulsorily.
ESC key, is EXIT key from playing NSPW.
EXPLANATION OF THE SCREEN
Caution:This
pic is Japanese version.
At first, It is Combat Area taking most of screen left side, you
can see some units or Islands
in top-view.
Another area of right side upper is Information Area where you
can know condition of unit,
rest time and game speed.
Menu area is on national flag of your play-side, some of button
will appear here when you can
choose any command.
And, right side bottom is Reduced Map of theatre. Black box frame
tells you where is Combat Area
now. Red point on Reduced Map is Janpan Navy Unit Blue point is
U.S.Navy, or blinking one is
Air Unit.
MOVING OF COMBAT AREA
This game's map is so huge. When you settle mouse cursor each end
of screen, combat area will scroll
for direction mouse cursor is being. Or, when mouse cursor is on
Reduced Map, Left-Click makes
Combat Area move to there mouse cursor designate.
COMMANDING FOR UNITS
On Combat Area, all of your units or enemy units your unit is
watching will be displayed.
It is proper that unit you can command is only unit of your
play-side and should be moveable. And
its way to do so is, you do Left-Click over a your unit and it
makes the unit "active", then
you can decide some of moving point in Left-Click until
Right-Click. This way is possible to decide
moving point for both ships and air-planes.
FORMATION AND MOVING
You can control some of your units as one of formation as same as
real naval battle.
And remember that shape of formation you made will influence the
result of battle.
Making formation of ships, at first, you choose one ship which
will be leader ship, then
choose another led ships while leader ship is still
"active". And it will be accepted as a formation
when you choose moving point.
Leader ship will be marked by a flag mark on unit a little above.
When you choose a ship marked flag,
another led ship will be "semi-active" automatically.
If you order some moving point, then leader ship
will advance along monving points and its on line with leading
another led ships.
Led ship will keep direction and distance from leader ship on
even moving. Direction and Distance are
decided when you make formation.
There is thought of leader unit and led unit in air units, but
their formation is decided automatically.
Or, to choose led unit and make it "active" then give
it moving point, led unit will become a unit has no
leader unit.
ATTACK OF SHIP AND GROUND BASE
You choose a unit you want to order an attack to, then you choose
enemy unit you will make an attack against.
Those units whichi is in "active" or
"semi-active" will begin an attack in possible way they
have.
ATTACK OF AIRPLANE
There are no defferent way of an attack between ships and
airplane.

SUBMARINE HUNTING BY DESTROYER
Submarine will run depth except when it got any serious damages
whitch never make it submerge. Then
you can not see enemy submarine in depth. The way of finding it
out is that your destroyer go round where
you guess that submarine may be hiding. Destory has a system to
hear sounds of submarine is running from
depth, So you may know about area of sequare submarine is hiding.
When destoryer is advancing in area of sequare submarine is
hiding in max speed, anti-submarine bomb will
be released to depth successively.
ABOUT TRANSPORT SHIP
Transpot ship can load ground army or another. When it is
"active", you can choose anywhere of land
but unloadabe you want to unload the transport ship when the ship
is near the land you chose.
ABOUT SUBMARINE
Using submarine is much same as another ship on surface ot sea,
but it has one of feature as submarine,
of course as you know it, it will submerge automatically when
enemy unit which may find the submarine
out. And only destroyer can find it out but about area not
correct while submarine is in depth.
Or, you have to make the submarine stop for reloading torpedo
before an attack of it.
At last, you remember that effective area of anti-submarine bomb
which was released by destroyer is
so large, so you need to take a much care for using submarine.
OPTION OF ARMAMENT
You can have an option of armament for airplane while it is
parking and not getting any services.
At first, you make unit which has some of airplane you will give
an order of armament "active",
then push "CHANGE" button, you will see some of
airplanes.
Caution:This pic
is Japanese version.
Some options which the airplane you chose can take at first will
appear on menu area, then you
choose armament you need, it will begin to arm. The airplane
which is taking a service for any
armament can not taxi and fly out there. Sign of spanner will
appear below the unit while
taking a service.
TAKE OFF
How to fly your airplane, you choose one or some of airplanes
parking, then Left-Click on anywhere on
Combat Area. The airplanes will begin taxing to fly out there and
flying to there you took a Left-Click.
OPTION OF FLYING AIRPLANE
You can see "RETURN" menu on its area, while the flying
airplane you chose is in "active".
If you push this button that it will give an order for airplane
to return their base.
You can change their base as destination of return, the way is
easy, just Left-Click on the air-base
or carrier ship while those airplanes is "active".
You will see "FLYING" option also on the menu area, it
means to keep flying.
REPAIR AND SUPPLY OF SHIP
Caution:This pic
is Japanese version.
When your ship anchor near military port, you can choose option
"SUPPLY & REPAIR" on menu area.
But, those ships which taking a service can not navigate.
INFORMATION OF UNIT

Information of unit you chose at last will be shown on
information area like above.
Rest Time : Allowed time to play.
Game Speed : Displayed game speed of now. F7 makes it decrease,
F8 makes it increase,
F9 set Game speed to 1. Game Speed 0 is pause of game paly.
F4 is return to Tittle mode. ESC is exit of NSPW program.
There are notices for unit made entry.

Battle-Ship: You can call it King of Fleet, This has a big gun and shell of burden is so vast. Of course, its voyage is much long and much toughness. |

Cruiser: This kind of ship is a core of most of navy. Speed, Deffence, Offence, this has all in best ballance. |

Destoryer: This will make an close attack in its speed. Each of nany makes it armament of torped, so it is possible to give more fatal damage against enemy ship. Or only destroyer has a system to find submarine in depth out and anti-submarine bomb |

Light Carrier: The number of carryable of airplane is eight, certainly it is less than "regular" Carrier, but this has more speed. And own armament is poor. |

think that this game seems to be
