Installation:

The complete File should be extracted into one folder
You should have the following data structure then:

You can put the cardsets on to your HD or CD.
They will be selected with a requester.

Known Problems: If the game couldn´t find his cards, or you have any other problems during the game, please remove the prefs.txt file in the folder ../solitaire/high/

Manual

Moving Cards
Click on the Card, hold the Mouse Button,
move the card to a legal place, and letit drop.
Sometimes, one click on the card is enough to play.

The Buttons

The lights:
Starts a game or stopps a game to get to the highscore.

The butterfly:
Here you can select your favourite game.
Butterfly with cube. The programm selects one game randomly.

The buttons with ranking symbols
Here you can select your great cardsets.
Single, previous, next and random options available.

The little picture:
Select a single or a random background by selecting one file in the drawer.

The Wizard
Select a directory with pictures, and the wizard will make a cardset out of it.

Autoplay Buttons:
Right click on a card and the card will be played onto a foundation if possible.
Right click on the counter and all possible cards will be played onto the foundations.

Space Bar
Selects the default cardset and the default background.

Object

4 cells (top left) - storage locations for cards. Only 1 card allowed in each cell.

8 tableau piles (below foundations and cells) - build down by alternate color.
Spaces can be filled by any card.

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
· 4 foundation piles (top right) -
build up in suit from the rank of first card dealt to the first pile,
wrapping from King to Ace as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards.

· 7 tableau piles (below foundations) - build down regardless of suit.
Only one card at a time may be moved.
Spaces may be filled by any card.

stock (top left, face down) - Deals 1 card to each tableau pile, by clicking. No redeals.

Object

12 tableau piles - the top card of each pile is available
Pair the cards that they total to 14.
For example, a King and an Ace, a Queen and a 2, or an 8 and a 6.

Golf Solitaire

Object
To move all the cards to the waste pile.

Layout
7 tableau piles (across top) - no building.
Top card of each pile is available for play on the waste pile.

stock (face down below tableau) - turn over 1 card to the waste by clicking.

waste (next to stock) - build up or down in sequence regardless of suit
No wraparound, only Twos can be played on Aces
and only Queens can be played on a King.

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
4 foundation piles (corners) - build up in suit from the rank of first card dealt to the first pile,
wrapping from King to Ace as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards.

5 tableau piles (forming cross) - build down regardless of suit,
wrapping from Ace to King as necessary.
Spaces are filled by any card. At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to each pile.

stock (face down) - turn over 1 card at a time to the waste by clicking. No redeals.

waste (next to stock) - top card is available for play
on the foundations
or tableau.

Calculation Solitaire

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
4 foundation piles (top right) - build first pile up regardless of suit by ones,
second pile up regardless of suit by twos,
third pile up regardless of suit by threes, and fourth pile up regardless of suit by fours.
4 reserve piles (below foundations) - cards are played here from the stock.
The top card of each pile is available for play. Move cards to the foundations by clicking.

stock (face down) - Top card is available for play on the reserves or foundations.
No Redeals.

Strategy Solitaire

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
4 foundation piles (across top) - build up in suit from Ace to King.
Other than Aces (which are moved here from the stock automatically when they appear),
Cards cannot be played here until the stock is empty.
When the stock is empty, cards are moved here from the tableau automatically.

8 tableau piles (below foundations) - cards are played here from the stock.
Any card may be played to any pile.
Cards cannot be moved once placed.
Once all the cards are played the cards will be moved to the foundations automatically.

stock (top left, face up) - Top card is available for play on the tableau.
Aces, when they appear, are automatically moved to the foundations.  No redeals.

Sea Towers Solitaire

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
4 foundation piles (at the right hand) - build up in suit from Ace to King.

4 cells (at the left hand) - storage location for one card.
Only 1 card allowed in each cell.
At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to the center two cells.

10 tableau piles (in the middle) - build down in suit.
Spaces can be filled only by a King.
At the start of the game 5 cards are dealt face up to each pile.

Object

4 foundation piles (across top) - build up regardless of suit from Ace to King.

Object
To pair up all the cards in the deck in pairs of cards whose ranks total to 13.

Layout
A Pyramid of 28 cards. Only uncovered cards are available for play.
Discard pairs of cards whose ranks add to 13. Kings are discarded singly.

stock (top left) - turn over cards one at a time to the waste by clicking. Two redeals.

waste (below stock) - The top card is available for play.

15 Puzzle Solitaire

Object
To move all the cards of each rank to the same pile,
so that there are 13 piles of 4 cards of the same rank.

Layout
15 tableau piles (2 begin empty) -
Cards may be played on other cards of the same rank.
At most 4 cards are allowed in any pile. Empty piles may be filled by any card.

Yukon Solitaire

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
4 foundation piles (top right) - build up in suit from Ace to King.

7 tableau piles (below foundations) - build down by alternate color.
Move groups of cards regardless of any sequence.

Napoleon Solitaire

Object
To play all cards to the Foundations.

Layout
4 Foundations (in the middle) - You may build the foundation piles either
in an ascending or descending sequence -
whichever offers the greatest advantage. You cannot reverse the order
once you've started to build a foundation.
Ranking of cards is continuous: build Ace after King when necessary.

8 Tableaus (at top and bottom of the screen) - build up or down in suit.

2 Reserves (the pile with four cards at the beginning)

2 Cells (at the right hand)
Card can only be played from, if the belonging reserve is empty.

Towers of Hanoy Solitaire

Object
To get a Sequenze of 9 Cards.

Layout
Tableau (9 cards in 3 columns of 3 cards each)
Only the top card of one column can be moved to another column.
The card that is moved can only be placed on a card of a higher rank.
For example, a 5 can be placed on a 6 or a 9, but not on a 3.
Only one card at a time can be moved (a card can be moved as often as is necessary).
Spaces may be filled with the top card of either of the other two columns.

Spider Solitaire

Object
To group all the cards in sets of 13 cards in sequence down in suit
from King to Ace.

Layout
10 tableau piles - build down regardless of suit.
Groups of cards in sequence down in suit may be moved as a unit.
A space can be filled by any card or legal group of cards.

stock (top left, face down) - deals 1 card to each tableau pile by clicking.

Blind Alleys Solitaire

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
4 foundation piles (across top) - build up in suit from Ace to King.

6 tableau piles (below foundations) - Build down by alternate color.
Groups of cards may be moved if they form a sequence down by alternate color.
Spaces filled by any card. At the start of the game 3 cards are dealt to each pile,
2 face down and 1 face up.

stock (top left) - turn over 1 card at a time to the waste pile by clicking. One redeal.

waste (next to stock) - top card is available for play on the foundations or tableau.

Object

Object
To group all the cards into 4 sets of 13 cards in sequence
down in suit from King to Ace within the tableau.

Layout
7 tableau piles (top) - build down in suit.
Groups of cards (regardless of any sequence) can be moved.
Fill spaces with Kings or groups of cards headed by a King (see King Only for option).
At the start of the game 7 cards are dealt to each pile.
In the first 4 piles, 3 cards are face down and 4 face up,
in the next 3 piles all cards are face up.

reserve (top left, face down) -
Clicking deals 1 card to each of the first 3 tableau piles (this can be done only once).

Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout
4 foundation piles (top) - build up in suit from Ace to King.

17 fans (below foundations) - build up or down regardless of suit,
with a limit of 3 cards per fan.
Only one card at a time may be moved. Spaces are not filled.
At the start of the game 3 cards are dealt face up to each pile,
except the last pile, which is dealt one card

Object
To pair up all the cards and move them to the waste pile.

Layout
8 tableau piles (across top) - the top card is available for play.
Pair up cards of the same rank.
At the start of the game 6 cards are dealt face up to each pile.
The cards are dealt in such a way that no two cards
of the same rank are dealt to the same pile.

4 extra cards (below tableau) - each card is available for play
to be paired with cards in the tableau.

waste pile - Where paired cards go out of play.

Counting horizontal and vertical like as in the poker game.
Street in one Suit: 30 points
4 cards with same ranking: 16 points
Street with different colours: 12 points.
Full House, 3 cards with same ranking and a pair: 10 points
Flush, 5 cards of the same suit, in no order: 8 points
3 cards with the same ranking: 6 points.
2 pairs: 3 points.
1 pair: 1 point.

Accordion Solitaire

You can put one card onto another, if the previous card, or the card three positions before it has the same suit or the same rank

Definition of some Words:

Foundation:
The target of the game. Here you should build the cards upon a base card.
Usually you can´t get back the cards from here.

Tableau:
The place where you can build or pack the cards.
The cards could moved between these piles.

Cell :
A storage location for cards. Usually only for one card.

Stock:
A pile containing the remainder of the cards.

Waste:
A pile where unplayable cards are stored.

Reserve
A pile of cards where building is usually not permitted.
Mainly top card available, in some cases all cards.

Suit:
Cards that have the same shape. Club, Spade, Heart, Diamond.

Color:
Club and Spade are black. Heart and Diamond are red. :-)

Rank:
C
ards which have the same value.

Fan:
Similar to tableaus, except the cards usually stacked horizontally,
and only one card at a time can be moved.

Redeal:
Turning over the waste Pile to create a new stock pile from it.
