2/ Battle Menu System >>>

The Battle Menu System features random encounters and a traditional view very typical of SNES or Genesis/Megadrive RPGs. Fights are turn-based, and both characters and enemies attack first or last depending of their speed.

FIGHT
ATTACK
Choose "Attack" if you want the character to strike with his weapon(s). The resulting damage is linked to both your character's attack and the enemy's defense, plus its resistance to the attribute(s) used.
When 2 or more attributes are used in a single strike, the best (ie the monster's weakest resistance) takes advantage.
MAGIC
Choose "Magic" if you want to cast a spell.
DEFENSE
Choose "Defense" if you want to reduce the possible damage(s) suffered by your character. The damage will be divided by 2 and even by 4 for the stronger and tougher characters.
ITEM
Choose "Item" if you want to use an item. There are various styles of items that can be used while in a fight : healing items, scrolls, magical rings etc etc...

MELEE
Choose "Melee" if you wish your party to attack the enemies as they want. It's a fast and reliable way to gain XPs. Most of the times, the assault chosen is the "best possible", which means you can detect the enemies' weak points using Melee.

ESCAPE
Try to avoid the fight. Your party's speed will be compared to the enemies'. Of course, higher speeds will escape more easily. A bonus of 10% is added each new try.
